Pressure Sensor Tex is based on a patented technology which both prints and impregnates special electronic inks onto textile backings in order to create pressure sensitive materials. This technology allows the inks to be applied in any pattern, allowing a pressure sensing element of any shape which follows the form and flow of the textile. The surface of the fabric is thus transformed into a textile area with sensing properties.

This specific combination of materials and techniques allows us to create a resistive type textile pressure sensor which can be used to create products for diverse markets where it is necessary to monitor a pressure mapping acting between people and objects they press against.

People Counting Mats: This is an extremely effective solution for counting people entering and exiting events, conferences etc. Direction of step can be detected on the mats which can literally be thrown down anywhere to form a discrete wireless counting network.

Presence Sensor for Seats: Can be used as part of the upholstery to monitor the occupation of seats. Can be integrated into transport systems to collect passenger usage data.
